Alcove is, first and foremost, a family story – a story in which good food is at the center of it all. Brother and sister Dena and Sarah Abedi-Wallace were brought up in a family of restaurateurs, and this is their project
Located on Côte-des-Neiges Road, just at the corner of Édouard-Monpetit, Alcove is at the heart of a lively and extraordinary neighbourhood. The Côte-des-Neiges borough is definitely a part of Montreal rendered unique by its cultural diversity, its vast student population and its location on the borders of varied family districts such as Outremont, Town of Mount-Royal and Hampstead. Given their love for the area, Sarah and Dena decided to offer it a missing piece of the puzzle: a friendly neighbourhood gastropub with an inspiring décor, featuring revisited comfort food recipes made with carefully selected local produce.
Transparency and taste are two essential values at Alcove. The curious can take a peek at what’s cooking in the kitchen while the foodies are charmed by the array of succulent flavours in each dish. The core of the menu is based on an extensive list of creatively crafted burgers, all made with superior quality meat. Alcove also quenches your thirst: craft beers from Quebec microbreweries, local ciders, imported beers and much more.
Lastly, why Alcove? By definition, it’s an intimate, comfortable place. The Abedi-Wallaces wanted to create a cozy space in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. Alcove is also the name of the small Quebec town where their mother was born and raised. As we told you, it’s a family story… and you’re all invited to partake in it.
